On February 10, New Zealand Mint has released the Thunderbirds 50 Years 1 oz Silver Coin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Sci-Fi tv show 'Thunderbirds'. The .999 silver coin is the first ever Thunderbirds legal tender collectible coin release. The official coin is packaged in a futuristic clear perspex coin case and Thunderbirds themed box.

The coin reverse design features the Thunderbirds 50th Anniversary logo gilded against a polished background. The coin obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Country of Issue - Niue.
