Cricket World Cup Silver Proof Domed Coin

The Royal Australian Mint has teamed with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to present 2015 $5 ICC Cricket World Cup Fine Silver Proof Domed Coin. The Australia legal tender 1oz silver proof dome-shaped coin have a mintage of 5000.

The coin’s reverse creatively utilises the dome-shape to resemble a cricket ball with inscriptions on the right "ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2015-AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND".

The inward curve gives an artistic representation of the beloved Melbourne Cricket Ground on the obverse with effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley and initials of the designer 'IRB'.

As a cricket-loving nation, Australia’s association with the CWC is a long and proud one. Australia was the overall winner in 1987, 1999, 2003 and 2007 and the runner-up in 1975 and 1996.
