New Zealand Post has created a legal tender coins to commemorate the final film in The Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Bag End Silver Coin. The 1 oz silver coin incorporates a piece of wood from the party tree from the Hobbiton Movie Set. The coin is New Zealand legal tender and only 10,000 will be minted for worldwide sale.

The Bag End coin with its unique wooden door is an innovative addition to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies coin issue. The wood has been designed to resemble the door to Bag End, which is incorporated into the peaceful scenic backdrop of the home of Bilbo Baggins. The door, made from a piece of wood from the Hobbiton Movie Set party tree, is incorporated into the coin, meaning you can get your very own Middle-earth keepsake.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves.
