NZ Mint Elephants 1 oz Silver Coin

Today, New Zealand Mint has released new Feng Shui silver coins, Elephants 1 oz Silver Coin. The 999 fine silver coin is a Nieu Island $2 Dollar legal tender coin with a limited mintage of 5,000 pieces.

Elephants coin

The coin reverse features two Elephants. One brings water into its trunk, representing the accumulation of wealth, while the other showers this over itself, signifying the distribution of prosperity, good fortune and peace throughout one’s life.

Elizabeth II

The coin obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In Feng Shui, the Elephant symbolizes protection, good fortune, wisdom, and strength. The Chinese pronunciation of Elephant is Xiàng which has a similar sound to the Chinese word for good fortune, or something that is auspicious. The Elephant therefore is suitable for all areas of life, representing your aspirations being granted at work, in your personal life, and in that of your household. In traditional Feng Shui, Elephants are placed by a door with trunks held upward over their heads, symbolising that accumulated wealth and prosperity is being showered into the home.
